The 2012 Honda Ridgeline is one of the few great crossover trucks available on the market. SUTs are unique in their styling and capability as they feature individual body styles that mimic trucks, SUVs and cars; this design allows for an aerodynamic, contemporary look and extraordinary traditional truck utility. The 2012 Honda Ridgeline embodies all of these characteristics, making it a great alternative to vehicles like the Toyota Tacoma, Ford F 150, Chevrolet Avalanche and Dodge Dakota. Dallas-Ft. Worth Honda shoppers will love the Ridgeline's one of a kind design, best-in-class crash test scores and affordable MSRP. Find new and used Honda Ridgelines for sale at Dallas-Ft. The Ridgeline truck received a number of revisions for 2012, including the addition of a new Sport trim, several interior upgrades and a boost in fuel economy. In addition to this, the crossover pickup received a refreshed fascia with an eye-catching three-bar grille. You can find the Ridgeline in dramatic colors like Alabaster Silver, Taffeta White, Dark Cherry Pearl, Bali Blue Pearl and Mocha Metallic. The beefy Honda Ridgeline SUT is available in four trims for 2012: the Ridgeline RT, Ridgeline RTS, Ridgeline RTL and Ridgeline Sport.
The Honda Ridgeline reviews well when it comes to spaciousness, durability and strength. It is built with a sturdy integrated closed-box frame and reinforced unit body which provides the truck with an incredibly roomy cabin. A storage area under the rear seats can hold a full-size set of golf clubs, and the entire rear seating area can be converted to free up enough room for a mountain bike with the front tire removed. The Ridgeline also features a lockable in-bed trunk with a steel-reinforced composite (SRC) cargo bed for optimum safety and durability.
The 2012 Ridgeline RT features a long list of comfort and convenience equipment including: a trip computer with average fuel economy, air conditioning, an integrated trailer hitch, pre-wiring for 7-pin trailer wiring, a tilt steering wheel, powered windows and door locks, a powered sliding rear window, cruise control, automatic heated wiper zone, keyless entry, a 100-watt audio system with AM/FM/CD/MP3 playback capability and a 60/40 split lift-up rear seat with under-seat storage. The Ridgeline RTS adds and upgrades include: painted inner grille surfaces, a seven-speaker 160-watt audio system with subwoofer and six-disc in-dash CD player, alloy wheels, a 7-pin trailer wiring connector, convenient steering wheel-mounted controls, dual-zone automatic climate control, an eight-way powered driver's seat with lumbar support, an auxiliary audio input jack, privacy glass and weather floor mats.
The Honda Ridgeline RTL has many of the features of the RT and RTS but adds a beautiful leather-trimmed interior with heated front seats, a 115-volt power outlet, XM Radio, a HomeLink remote system, carpeted floor mats, 18-inch alloy wheels, fog lights and a moonroof. A Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation System with Voice Recognition is optional and contains a Bluetooth Hands-Free Link, a multi-information display and an integrated rear-view camera. The performance-oriented 2012 Honda Ridgeline Sport made a smashing debut with exclusive trim elements like black headlight and brake light housings, black side mirrors and a modern black honeycomb grille. The track-tuned truck is also differentiated from other Ridgeline models with its sleeker and more aerodynamic profile and terrain crushing black 18-inch alloy wheels. Under the hood, the Ridgeline comes with a 3.5-liter, 24-valve SOHC VTEC V6 engine with an alloy block and alloy cylinder heads. The multi-point fuel injected truck also features an Adaptive Automatic Transmission and a Drive-By-Wire Throttle and Control System. Variable Torque Management, or VTM-4, is standard. This system allows the truck to simultaneously perform in 2WD and 4WD. The VTM-4 senses when the truck is starting off in extreme low-traction conditions such as mud, ice or loose gravel, and automatically adjusts torque to the rear wheels in order to provide extra traction and power. The VTM-4 Lock feature lets you manually lock the rear differential to get the truck moving whether it's in forward or reverse. Additionally, the 2012 Ridgeline features an independent MacPherson strut front suspension with coil springs and heavy-duty shock absorbers, while the independent multi-link rear suspension with trailing arms, coil springs and heavy-duty shock absorbers assist in a smooth ride, no matter the terrain. Another highlight is the truck's specially designed suspension and chassis, which provides excellent hauling and towing capabilities. The Ridgeline is able to tow up to 5,000 pounds and has a half-ton payload rating.
